Highlighter

Even though crap happens, I've decided to stay positive and look for the better things in life. It's like I've taken a highlighter through my past week and only picked out the good parts.

Monday - I got to go see Greece with my mom. I love spending time with my mom, she truly is my best friend.

Tuesday - Tuesday started out great because it was late start, boo yes. I did my math test review and felt like I actually understood it, which is always great. Then the Valentine's assembly? Thomas Regis is my new hero, so funny! I also got to take my Valentine's to the day care kids, and help them pass out theirs. Isaac Lowry (a little boy from the day care) asked me to be his Valentine, what could get better? My best friend Mileaha decided to come to my seminary class, it made it so much better! I actually bore my testimony for the first time in who knows how long. I also got green candy, who doesn't like green candy? I got to watch my little "sister" play basketball, which was hilarious!

Wednesday - Wednesday I helped Tiffany answer to the dance, which was quite the adventure :) We accidentally dropped the lid of a glass jar, shattering it all over her driveway.. We felt really bad, but it was really funny! I also got to play glow in the dark volleyball, which was way fun! Brady and Clay came with, and Mileaha and Tiffany were there, it was a blast!

Thursday - Footloose, Backstreet Boys, and Moves like Jagger all came on the radio, I mean great day! Oh and Bountiful won against Woods Cross, again... It's been a good senior year for Bountiful Braves. I went and watched the elders basketball game, which is always entertaining!

Friday - No school!! The day started out with my mom telling me she got me an appointment to go get a facial and a pedicure, that was great :) We went to Sherlock Holmes 2 out at Hayden's theatre, oh man how I love Mileaha! Thanks also to Riley for having her brain damage day so we could party it up!

Saturday - Lowes Xtreme Sports! Foam pits everywhere! It was so much fun, even if you did get stuck for a little bit :) I perfected my back flip, it was a good day! Then Julie took us to Ihop. Picture this, me and Mileaha got our food last (we ordered a lot of food) and we finished before anyone else, I'm pretty sure we were pigs in another life. Then I got to help Mileaha pack, since she's moving, and that was pretty interesting. We found all sorts of.. treasures.. while packing. Then an evening of Wipe Out with my mom and dad, Mileaha, and Hali!!

Sunday - This was Mileaha's last week at our ward, and we made it count. I had the awesome opportunity to sing in church with Mileaha's family giving the talks, it was so amazing! I loved looking down into the congregation and seeing my brother looking at me with the biggest grin on his face. Then me and Mileaha taught the lesson in young womens and it actually went successfully! Oh and Amazing Race started, and with a few batting of the eyes me and Jen convinced dad to watch with us!

There are always good things, we just have to seek them out.

Lovin' Life

One of my friends texted me the other night and asked me a simple question... What do you love? It made me start thinking, what do I love? I love to sing! Singing, in my opinion, is one of God's greatest gifts. I love playinig in the rain, I love remembering happy memories. I love spending time with those people that I love! I love playing games with my family. I love watching movies. I love having girl nights with my mom. I love acting like an idiot, I love being myself. I love the smell after it rains. I love looking for rainbows. I love to swim. I love the sun! I love knowing that there are always people there for me. I love knowing that somebody cares. I love math! I love being in musicals. I love pictures and creating memories. The list could go on and on. If we there are so many things that we love, why do we always dwell on the things that we hate? Why do we always complain? Why can't we just love life and enjoy the ride. Nobody said it would be easy, they just said it would be worth it. The things that we love make everything worth it in the end.
